  2. Roman Forum & Palatine Hill · included with most Colosseum tickets.

  4. Circus Maximus · a gentle finish along the ancient chariot track.
Tip: from the apartment take Metro Line B from Piramide, two stops to Colosseo, or walk it in about 25 minutes.

  1. Pantheon · two minutes away; go at opening for the quietest light.
  2. Piazza Navona · Bernini's fountains and street artists.
  3. Campo de' Fiori · morning market, then an aperitivo.

Tip: from Testaccio the Baroque centre is about a 25-minute walk along the Tiber, or a short bus ride from Via Marmorata.
